WHAT IS AN OYSTER CARD?

A Visitor Oyster card is the cheapest way to pay for single journeys on the bus, Tube, DLR, tram, London Overground and most National Rail services in London: Save time – your card is ready to use as soon as you arrive in London. It's more than 50% cheaper than buying a paper Travelcard or single tickets with cash.

HOW TO USE AN OYSTER CARD

Make sure you pay the right fare by touching in and out on the Yellow Card Readers at the start and end of your journey on Tube, DLR, London Overground, TfL Rail and National Rail services. You only need to touch in on bus and trams. Find out more about touching in and out.

  • Online - if you have an online account, you can see details of recent journeys and transactions

  • At touchscreen ticket machines at Tube stations. These show you the last eight journeys you made and the transaction details

Please note - you can only get a history of your journeys using Oyster for the last eight weeks online. We don't keep the information longer than eight weeks.
